Dear 5th Grade Families

Welcome to a new school year! Our names are Mrs. Sembiring, Mrs. Gushue & Mrs. Vazquez and we will be your child’s fifth grade teachers. We will be rotating the students in the areas of Science, Social Studies, Health and Art doing many exciting investigation lessons and projects that will engage students in their learning. Mrs. Sembiring will teach Social Studies. Mrs. Gushue will teach Science, and Mrs. Vazquez will teach Health and Art. We have found great success in this model and it will prepare students for middle school next year.

The platform used during the school year will be Schoology. If you have not connected through the parent portal please do so as soon as possible. We will also be using “Class Dojo” to help keep the students on track and maintain communication with our fifth grade families. Please be on the lookout for a handout with the Class Dojo QR code and/or log-in information.

Starting on Tuesday, August 15th, we’ll begin early dismissal every Tuesday this school year. Communication is a very important part of the learning process. Our contact information is:
